The wind is softly blowing a breeze through your curtains. They gently shake and sway as if the outside world is breathing in and out. Cool damp air from the night passes over as you sink down a little further in your seat. This is the kind feeling that the hazy low fidelity music of “Futon Stereo Mix” by Plastic Candles brings about. Fantastically serene. Magically peaceful.

Plastic Candles is the project of David Diaz: guitarist in April Magazine, frequent member of Black Thumb’s “The Flying Propeller Group,” and general San Francisco DIY music scene dude. David makes this textured lo-fi shoegaze-meets-slowcore kind of music. It seems to always come at you in waves. “Futon Stereo Mix” is the second Plastic Candles release on Paisley Shirt (third if you count the free “Traveling Light EP” that came with all cassette orders of the album “Dust”).
