Stripped-down dream pop, lo-fi reverberated vocal duties traded back and forth, & slow jam moodscapes. You can feel our long overcast summer days and those moments that the sun breaks up the clouds.
Flowertown is Michael Ramos and Karina Gill, the San Francisco duo “first wrote a song together because our respective projects (Tony Jay and Cindy) were scheduled to play a show at the SF Eagle in March. Obviously that didn’t happen, but as shelter-in-place took effect we started trading song ideas and writing collaboratively. Sending voice memos back and forth and eventually recording the songs in Karina’s basement on a four track. Flowertown released its first tape in May. It was fun so we kept going and made another batch of songs called Theresa Street."
